Organizations’ Management of the COVID-19 Pandemic: A Scoping Review of Business Articles

The objective of this study was to analyze the early COVID-19 crisis management practices implemented in organizations based on a scoping review relevant business articles published issue newspapers and magazines between March May 2020. In total, after applying inclusion exclusion criteria 2707 potentially articles, 246 describing organizational initiatives manage were selected analyzed detail. results highlight opportunities threats arising from pandemic as well most innovative measures put place, particularly areas health, human resources (HRM), work organization, social environmental responsibility, management. description main identified their illustration through various examples show importance corporate sustainability managing demonstrate cross-cutting nature crisis, which affects functions simultaneously. This also makes it possible identify certain leaders’ approaches that can be considered exemplary or, contrast, should avoided, while highlighting paradoxes difficulties assessing responsibility times crisis.
